so yeah., The BET AWARDS came on last night. I admired its ability to re-write a whole show to show respects to Michael Jackson in a very short amount of time.

When I sat and thought about it...if it wasnt for those re-writes the awards would be terrible. The non-michael jackson performances suck (except for the throwback New Edition section).

Michael Jack is gone...

So I woke up around 3pm to see my twitter flooded with "Michael Jackson is in a coma". Shortly afterwards those twits were followed by "he's dead". I felt upset for about 10 minutes, because honestly I dont believe in crying over a person who I dont know...and he doesnt know me.

I respect his artwork and his music. I'm sure that my parents and people in their age range are being torn apart right now. No matter what, everyone deserves their last respect. So I'm going to say it once.

So yeah..I got sucked into the Twitter movement...and It confused the shit out of me [thankfully I got used to it thanks to Dea & Ren's taunts].

Myspace is beyond dead...I sent out maybe 3,000 comments and it had no effect...so I realized it was time to move on [even farther from facebook].

I Slept on Gucci Mane

In the last 2 weeks I've been addicted to Gucci Mane mixtapes. He has bars [believe it or not] but he just says it in silly ways. In his interviews he says his style is to have more fun with his records than get serious.

When I searched on datpiff for Gucci Mane mixtapes NINE PAGES POP UP. Thats 52 a page...for 9 pages...468 mixtapes....

When I search Gucci Mane on youtube he has FREESTYLES with a million views.


I like the dudes' music..gets me real hype. I respect his hustle even more.

So as many of you have heard. Max blew trial, catching 9 out of 11 charges. This means that his time behind bars will be between 15-25. I personally will miss him.

He was an excellent song writer, and despite many critics [and hip hop politics]. He made an impact and influence with his ryhmestyle and (for lack of a better word) swag.

If it wasnt for Max, we wouldnt say "WAVY". I wish that people in control of his situation would take into consideration his family and his impact on music in a VERY short amount of time and cut him slack (especially when it seems that his involvement in the charges he got are minimal)

I used to check worldstar daily to keep updated. I used to catch myself watching EVERY SINGLE VIDEO. Now a days..I can skip through a majority of the videos on worldstar. They are pretty bland and irrelevant. They try to compensate by throwing in a booty video or two...but it just aint the same anymore....

New XXL is pretty good

I didnt expect to say it. But seems like XXL magazines have bounced back from their weak one-dimensional or out of date articles.

Ofcourse it isnt easy to stay in tune with certain things when you have to get everything in on deadline. Information changes pretty quickly, etc etc.

The new XXL had the most "oh this is going to be terrible" cover ever. The articles are pretty ill. I'm personally not too fond of Drake but his interview was on point and I found respect for his grind. (he dropped 27 Gs to get Trey Songz on his first single and put a video out for it...and when it flopped he still kept going) .

Nicki Minaj's section in "best of both worlds" shows me she is a VERY smart individual. I wanna kick it with her one day.

The only wack part of the new mag is the XXL (that chick is WACK). I think I'm gonna only get the magz with the wack rappers on the cover from now on.

Creeping 101: Phonecalls Vs. Texting Vs AiM

I had a conversation with my brother about girls losing their mind...

I responded "when myspace came around, shit got fucked up."
He responded "nah man, its text messages that fucked the game up."

After putting a little thought into the subject...he is half-right. I think the sidekick and all phones similar to it made things so crazy.


Picture this scenario:

A guy calls you at 3AM...You obviously know what he wants and you probably wont pick up the call.

A guy texts you at 3Am...you might respond..depending on your mood.

A guy IMs you at 3AM and its suddenly all cool and we can have a lengthy conversation like its normal.



AiM is less personal than a text or a phonecall. Which puts you into a comfort zone and this is why hook-ups happen through AiM. AiM also helps when a person is a total lame over the phone....some people just cant hold a conversation.

Overall the battle between the three...AiM reigns supreme.
